Become a Lake Area Chamber Board Member

Are you looking for ways to get more involved with the Lake Area Chamber of Commerce? Lucky for you, we're taking nominations for individuals who are interested in joining our board. Make an impact on our local chamber of commerce at the Lake of the Ozarks and become a board member today. Check out the details of becoming a board member or nominating someone you know below.

Become a Board Member:

The Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is looking for a few committed men and women willing to serve on the Board of Directors for a three-year term. Nominations are being sought to fill five board positions beginning October 2019. In filling the nominating slate, every effort will be made to ensure that a cross section from the membership of the Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is represented. Nominations for candidates will be accepted through 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31st, 2019. According to the bylaws the proposed slate will be presented to the Board of Directors at the August meeting for election in September.

Eligibility for Board of Director Candidate:


  • Primary resident of Camden or Miller County for at least 2 years. 
  • Maintain affiliation with Chamber(s) member in good standing for at least 2 years. 
  • Currently be affiliated with a Chamber member in good standing at the time the election slate is presented to the Chamber Board for approval. 
  • Be willing to attend and participate in the monthly meeting held every 3rd Thursday of the month at 8:00 a.m.
  • Serve on at least one committee
  • No individual business may be represented by more than one board member. 

Chamber By-Laws and procedures set forth the requirements for board membership and the manner in which candidates will be nominated and elected to serve three-year terms of office. Please contact the Lake Area Chamber office with any questions.
