Lake Area Chamber Holds Ribbon Cutting for Lake Regional Cancer Center

The Lake Area Chamber recently held a ribbon cutting for Lake Regional Cancer Center’s new state-of-the-art linear accelerator, the ribbon cutting ceremony took place during their open house, where attendees had the opportunity join in the celebration and tour the remodeled Cancer Center. The Elekta Infinity linear accelerator enables therapists to focus higher radiation doses on targeted cells, while minimizing doses to surrounding healthy tissue. Lake Area Chamber Honors Award Recipients at Annual Fall Celebration

Over 250 of the Lake’s elite business community gathered for t he Lake Area Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Fall Dinner Celebration at the Lodge of Four Seasons. As has become tradition of the Lake Area Chamber, five prestigious awards were given t hroughout the evening in the following categories:  Non-Profit of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Large Business of the Year, Distinguished Citizen, and new this year Young Professional of the Year.  Recipients of the awards were nominated by their peers during a month-long nomination process.     The first award of the night was presented to the Non-Profit of the Year; the award went to Hope House of Miller County.  The second award of the evening was presented to the Small Business of the Year; TXR Architects & Constructors.  Large Business of the Year was presented to Central Bank of Lake of the Ozarks.
