Lunch & Learn With the Young Professionals at the Lake

Stay informed with local politics and catch up on area happenings by attending the Young Professionals at the Lake Lunch & Learn session on August 2nd. Socialize with fellow YPL members, enjoy a delicious lunch, and learn from locals who represent the Lake area on a state level. What is YPL?


 The Young Professionals at the Lake is a chamber sponsored organization designed to connect young adults who are working and living at the Lake of the Ozarks. YPL is a subgroup of the Lake Area Chamber open to any working adult under the age of 45. The mission of the group is to Connect young professionals to foster community engagement, exchange ideas, and support the Lake Area Chamber of Commerce's mission and activities. A number of activities are hosted and assisted by the local YPL chapter. From Lunch & Learn sessions to a shoreline cleanup, you can get involved in our great community in a range of ways with this group!

 Enjoy a Delicious Lunch

 A meal will be available for purchase, when you register for the event. Catering will be provided from a local business, ready for you to enjoy! Drinks are also provided, along with the meal. 

 Socialize with Fellow Members

Before and after the event, you can network with fellow chamber and YPL members and guests. This is a great opportunity to get to know familiar faces and continue to learn more about area businesses. Plan to come a little early and stay a few minutes after to get the most out of your Lunch & Learn experience!

 Learn About Issues Affecting the Lake Area

 State Representatives from the area will be present to discuss items directly affecting the entire area, and how our community members can get involved to make a difference. David Wood, Rocky Miller, and Diane Franklin will be presenting, during next week's Lunch & Learn session. They will be banning together to share new legislation and other decisions that are being made at the state level. This is a great way for you to see how you can get involved in the ever-changing political world at the Lake of the Ozarks. 

In order to reserve your spot for this YPL Lunch & Learn event, reservations should be made by Friday, July 28th! Simply call the Lake Area Chamber of Commerce at 573-964-1008 to reserve your seat. If you're interested in learning more about politics at the Lake of the Ozarks, it will be a very informative event for you to attend. While you're at it, you can meet and get to know fellow Lake Area Chamber members and hopefully make some new contacts!
